In the Desert...

I know, I know I haven't updated in forever. I've actually considered taking this blog down. In this time of my life I feel more impressed to write my thoughts down in a journal these days but I thought I'd share a quote I read.

"When it's the right man for you he'll pursue you like a dying man in the desert pursuing water."

Now, I think there's alot of us still unmarried because of that very fact. The fact that we haven't been pursued like that. Any man that runs away instead of to you is most definitely not the one.  And if your dad screens them like mine does there isn't a thing to worry about. My dad's tough but it's because he doesn't want just any man for my husband, he wants the best one. If he's the right one he'll win your father's approval. The right man will fight for you and protect you like no other. He'll make you feel so special and like one in a million. If you want a forever love then why not pray for it?

another quote: "Love well, laugh often, and live for Christ"

Also, make sure you do not want marriage more than God/Christ. If so it'd be a wonderful- good idea to give it up to the Lord. Yes, it's hard. Trust me I know!  I never expected to be unmarried this long. I have some family on dad's side who do not understand at all. They think I will be a maedel for the rest of my life. I am not too worried because there are so many promises in Scripture from the Lord. He  knows the plans he has for you and me both.

Psalm 37:4-5
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

We just have to keep commiting our ways unto the Lord. Sure, it won't always be easy but that's why we ask for His strength and peace and even His grace. He wants us to turn to Him in our times of insecurity, doubt, unsureness. Cast all your cares to Christ. When we are too weak to walk on  our own He'll carry us.  Let Him worry about your tomorrows and today's. Just trust Him today and everyday.

We each have a purpose here on this earth. Ask God what that is. I do know it's to bring glory and honour to Him.I also believe that we should ask to be dripping in Christ's love so that we can truly love other's and not be high up on a pedestal like we are better than others. We should be a shining example for Christ to the dying world around us.

Many of us are in a season of waiting for "the one and only". And there are a few of us who are preparing to be a keeper at home as we wait. Don't be afraid. This time is a season of life that we cannot get back once we are married. Enjoy it, live for Christ even in the single years doing what He wants you to do at this time. There are so many things we can learn during this season that might be difficult to learn later after marriage because responsibilities change and most definitely will change after you have children. Allow God to grow you into the woman He wants you to be  so you can be what your future beloved husband needs. Ask for a tender heart so that you will be more than willing for the changes God does in you. As I write this I am also, speaking to myself.

I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ blesses this post and those who read it.

In Christ's love,

Karla
Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

P.S. In your times of loneliness during your single-ness why not write to your future husband? It's just a thought. When I am down I thank Him for the things all around me one by one or whatever comes to my mind. That sure chases the blues away!
